Down the road from where he lived in Plates Have No Patterns Town, there was another lonely being. It was Matthew Candle Lover. who had his own candle shop. No-one ever bought his candles, and this was because Matthew was so lonely. In fact, No-one had ever ever been in his shop.

One day Sitonmyrightear was squirming along, when he took a wrong turn "I must have taken a wrong turn" he said to himself "For I have never been in this part of town before"

There were many places in this part of town that he had never before come across. There was Mr Bun, the Bakers. There was Mr Prongs, the fork shop. And there was a small, dirty doorway, that looked inviting to Sitonmyrightear. As he got closer he saw a small sign "Matthews Candle Shop", although most of the letters had faded.

Sitonmyrightear poked his head around the door and called "Helloooooo??", and within a second Matthew Candle Lover was out front to greet him. "Why Hellooo!!" Exclaimed Matthew Candle Lover "Have you come to look at my exciting and extensive range of candles?"
"I just came across this part of town by accident," said Sitonmyrightear "I wasnt really looking for anything in particular"
"Well take a seat!" said Matthew, beaming "Or feel free to take a look around. I'll make us some tea. ooooh this is exciting. I dont get many visitors"
"I dont get many visitors either," said Sitonmyrightear "Every day I go out and search for someone to be my friend. But worms arent the most popular creatures around. Not many people want to be you friend when you've got no arms and legs, and no sexual organs. They think you're weird. Thats how I ended up here. I was looking for friends and i took a wrong turn."
"Thats so sad," said Matthew Candle Lover shaking his head "But I know how you feel. I dont have any friends either. In fact I have had this shop for years, and you're the first customer I've ever had. I dont care that you have no arms and legs, and no sexual organs. I would like you to be my friend. Why dont you come and live here, and we can run this shop together?"
"Why, that is a tremendous idea!" Sitonmyrightear was delighted "And the kindest thing anyone has ever offered me. I would love to!"

So Sitonmyrightear moved in with Matthew Candle Lover, and they completely redecorated the Candle Shop. And soon business was booming. They opened up shops all over the world and the people who ran them were all the lonely people, from every corner of the globe. So they would never have to be lonely again.
