sorry, do i sound a little bitter? its probably because......I AM!

so what did everybody get? do you know i got more make-up than you can shake a stick at (if you are inclined to going round shaking sticks at innocent items of make-up). its a good thing because a few weeks ago, i went without wearing make-up for about 2 weeks (i had run out and couldnt afford to buy any more - get out those violins), and it was so bad that i went round to Sals and she had to give me some of her old make-up. and i have been using that ever since. but now i have nice new make-up along with:-

and many other little bits and pieces, too many of which there are to mention.

i had the most bizarre dream last night. it kind of freaked me out a little bit actually. i dreamt that DAVIE and Mallen both told me they were in love with me (yeah, in my dreams, quite literally) and i ummmmed and ahhhhed over it for ages, but finally decided on Mallen, and when i told i wanted to be with him he was so happy he cried! then my sister Lucy came to stay for a bit, and she said that while she was staying with me i wasnt allowed to see Mallen because she wanted us to have quality sister time, and if he came round at all while she was there she would never talk to me again. so i rang Mallen and said i needed to talk to him, and went round to his to see him. when i got there he burst into tears and said "You're not going to finish with me are you? i have been waiting for you for so long, it would break my heart if you did that!" at which point i hugged him and said i did love him(!), and then explained the situation with my sister.

how weird is that? do any of you know how to analyse dreams and stuff and maybe tell me why the hell i am dreaming about getting it on with Mallen, who, to be fair, i havent thought of in a sexual way since the whole nipple infecting incident. to be honest, i wasnt sure i would ever have sex again after that whole malarkey, let alone with him. although, it has to be said, he is pure entertainment at all times, and has lovely eyes.

Christmas Eve my Nan came out with the quote of all quotes. long time readers will know that my Nan is spectacular when it comes to putting her foot in her mouth, and coming out with clangers, but this was a classic. let me give you a little bit of background quickly (but not too much as i dont want to bore you)

My Auntie Jackies partner is Baz. she has been with him about 20 years so he is ver much part of the family, and very much hilarious. he always spend Chistmas with us, as his parents are quite old and dont go out much. however his Mums birthday is Xmas Eve, which makes this even more funny (i really hope you all find this funny now, or i will look like a complete spack)

Baz went to his Mums to say happy b'day and came to us after. when he got here this was the convo with my Nan

Nan: alright Barry

Baz: Hazel

Nan: did you go and see your Mum

Baz: yes

Nan: did she have a nice birthday?

Baz: yes

Nan: and what about your Dad, is he keeping alright

Baz: yes

Nan: and do they know its Christmas?

to which everybody kind of stopped talking and just looked at my Nan. now, granted Baz' parents are quite old, but i think you would have to be living on Mars to not realise its Christmas. how could they not know? does she think they sit there in their lounge watching all the Christmas adverts and programmes and say "oooh i wonder why they are showing these at this time of year" see the fairy lights outside peoples houses and think "what have they got those up for?" as Baz said "They're Irish Hazel, they arent living in Ethiopia" (as in Band Aid "Do They Know It's Christmas")

so our thing for Christmas this year has been to randomly start singing "Do They Know It's Christmas Time At All" to my Nan. which she loves.

the other funny thing, was my Uncle Dave dressed up as Santa on Christmas morning, and first of all Baz said "Dave could you pop round to my Mum and Dads and let them know its Christmas?" which was funny. then my Nan (again) said to my Granddad "who does he remind you of like that?" pointing to my Uncle Dave in his Santa outfit to which i hilariously cut in "Santa Claus".

i love family Christmasses.
