i have just had a review that said it didnt really understand what my username means. they thought it sounded like a combination of my name and the word bitchy. no no. here is the story of my username.

betchy is actually my nickname. not many of the friends i see a lot of these days call me it anymore, it is mostly the old crew i went about with about 2 years ago. joey baby calls me it, and a few people that i see occasionally. but i like it. here is how i got it.

i used to (about 3 years ago) go out with a bloke called paul. we were a great couple, and we got on really well. we split up though in the end because we used to get insanely jealous of each other. i hated him going out without me, and vice versa. we were really similar. but the best thing about us was that we had the EXACT same sense of humour.

one day we were messing about and i accidentally whacked my arm or my leg (or something) and it really hurt. paul was hugging me and going "ahhhhh poor betchy"

and that was how it started.

i then started calling him pauchy.

then it just got silly

i went from betchy, to bnetchy, to benchy (who was evil betchy), to binchy to bnitchy, to bninchy.

paul went from pauchy, to pnauchy, to paunchy, to pninch.

we were mad.

but the name that stuck because it was the one we used in public (we didnt want the world knowing how strange we actually were) was betchy. and other people picked up on it. and that was where it came from.

so that was how my username came about.

i kind of like it!
