as i recieve many, many, many notes from you all when you are confused about my english expressions, i have decided to do a page that explains what these words mean. if you come across a word that you dont understand, and it is not on here, please feel free to leave me a note and i will add it on.

slapper:- much like a slut, but not quite as bad. slappers tend to have friends around them, and not dress so provocatively, whereas sluts are only ever with men. slappers are not quite as hated by females as sluts are.

slag:- another variation of the above. just as free with their love as sluts, but tend to be unattractive and will quite literally go with anyone.

snog:- kissing. you can also say "get off with" which is just as romantic (not). it means to entice a man into your web of love with your lips.

shag:- sex

knickers:- panties. some of you may wonder why i am including this one, but someone did actually leave me a note asking what knickers were. i was so shocked and saddened by this, that i had to delete the note.

loo:- the toilet. lavatory. i know in america you say "i'm going to the bathroom", well here we say "just nipping to the loo"

nipping:- going somewhere quickly. e.g above.

shmee:- this is one that me and my friends invented by ourselves. it means seductive snogging, with a bit of fondling thrown in. not of rude parts, just like stroking of the hair and back area. kind of the foreplay before the foreplay if you like. a shmee fest would be to shmee lots.

bloke:- a man

bird:- a woman

fat bird:- large woman

pilling:- taking ecstasy

get in with:- much like shmeeing, but not such a nice term.

tosser:- complete idiotic man

twat:- much the same as above

fook:- the way people from the north of england pronounce "fuck"

flippin':- a non swearing way of saying fucking. for example "oh, flipping hell i just broke a nail!"

Sod off:- much like "fuck off"

a legend:- sometimes pronounced as "leg end". its when someone is absolutely hilarious, or has done something really good and you might say "fair play mate, your a legend." sometimes me and sean shorten it to just "leg"

fair play:- if someone does something nice for you, or does something you wouldnt do yourself you would say "oh, fair play"

mate:- is another word for friend, but also used as an expression like "alright mate?" as a greeting, or "cheers mate" if they buy you a drink.

cheers:- thank you

innit:- bit hard to explain this one. its like agreeing with someone. if someone says "oh, the stereophonics are really crap" and you agree, you might say "yeah innit mate."

is it?:- another difficult one to explain. "i am going to london this weekend." "oh, is it?" does that explain it?

lush:- is a multi purpose word, used mainly by people in weston, not even the country over. if you see a gorgeous man, he might be lush. if you really like a song it can be a "lush song". clothes, jewellry, films. prety much anything really.

phwooar!!:- is what you say when you see someone "lush". "phwooar did you see him? he was fooking lush!!"

rinsed:- when a song gets played over and over, if you loved when it first came out, but now you hate it, its because it has been "rinsed"

we also have many terms for being drunk that you may not recognise. although some you may. here are a few.

fucked

wasted
